PROJECT PROGRESS MADE:

CAUSEY HOME: This was a BIG week for Mr. Causey and his son Ralph were finally able to move into their home!! We started the week with the Fearless Works team buttoning up the final few things to be done skilled labor wise. We had Seth Seymour and Robert Knight working alongside the Fearless team helping support the work. Midweek an incredible team from The Community Church in Chicago came and helped paint and clean up ensuring the home was ready for Mr. Causey and Ralph. Friday was slated for move in day, and the volunteers had their work cut out for them as there was still so much painting and cleaning to be done. By God’s grace and many long days they finished it just in time! Mr. Causey’s extended family from Florida also drove up to help them get moved in and lend a hand with final painting and prep work for the home. Mr. Causey and Ralph were so appreciative of all the work done on their behalf and are both so grateful to finally be home. Weeks like this are a beautiful reminder of the many hands and hearts that have both touched Mr. Causey’s life and been impacted by him in return. I’m grateful God led us to the Causey home, if it weren’t for the hurricane or our connection with the Woodward family we would have never come across Mr. Causey. Over the last five months we’ve had teams from all over the country work in the home, each offering what their time and skills to make this home rehab happen. Ms. Pat, Mr. Causey’s sister, who was Robert’s main point of contact throughout this entire process often said this before hanging up the phone with him, “Robert, all we can say is thank you, thank you so much, though thank you doesn’t seem near enough”. She’d say again and again, “I don’t know what we would have done without you all. We didn’t have another plan.”
