WELCOME homE

We cannot wait to begin the process of moving into our first church home! Our new facility will feature an auditorium with seating for 350-400 adults, a dedicated and secure kids' wing, office space, and versatile areas perfect for students and small groups.

With spacious indoor areas and a large covered porch, this building is ideal for fostering community and cultivating a culture of family among our church members. This new building will enable us to host a variety of gatherings, from regular outreach and special events to weekly community activities. We look forward to creating a welcoming space that will bless both our church family and our city.

  • We launched the Gathering Church in 2016 with a single goal in mind—to bring a life-giving church to the city of Asheville and the surrounding areas and see people walk the path to Know God, Find Freedom, Discover Purpose, and Make a Difference. Since we began we have seen that vision become a reality over and over again. For the last eight and a half years we have been portable. All along we have said that the space we meet in is not the church. We are the church. What we have been building is bigger than four walls, we are building a living representation of the Kingdom of Heaven here in WNC.

    We now have the opportunity to make the move from portable to permanent. This building will be a space where we can worship and grow on Sundays, and serve and build community all week long. This space will open up new opportunities and amplify our ability to live out the vision God has given us multiple times over. This building is a tool. A tool to reach our city. A tool for discipleship. A tool for community. We believe a Move of God is coming to our city and in our church. And you can be a part of it!

• $180,000: Allows us to sign the lease and begin the building project.

• $250,000: Covers renovations, including demolition, systems upgrades, and construction.

• $360,000: Allows us to complete construction and cover operational costs during the transitional period.

• Above and Beyond: Enables us to enhance the space with upgraded seating, classroom fixtures and necessities, and improved community areas.
